Admission Arrangements for St Giles C.E. Primary School, Shrewsbury
Children wishing to attend this school are eligible for admission as follows:
Children born from 1.09.2019 to 31.08.2020
Admitted September 2024
Children born from 1.09.2020 to 31.08.2021
Admitted September 2025
You are very welcome to visit the school by prior arrangement with the school administrator. We invite children to attend a session prior to admission to allow teachers to get to know the children and their capabilities as part of a small group. In this way the children make a more secure and speedy start to their school learning.
The school admission number is 45 per year group.
St Giles is a popular school and over the past few years the number of applications in some year groups has exceeded this number. In these circumstances the Local Authority admissions policy and appeal procedure apply. From September 2013 schools will be able to take in-year applications directly from parents (although first application to school and Year 6 to Year 7 applications will still have to be processed by the LA).
