It’s World Book Day on Thursday, 4th March and as we won’t all be able to celebrate it in the usual way in school, we are inviting you to take part in a creative project, as we were so impressed with the work sent in for Black History Month:

World Book Day Flier – Creative Project

We also attach some information from the World Book Day Team, to help you make the most of WBD.  The theme this year is ‘SHARE A STORY FOR TEN MINUTES TODAY’ as reading for just 10 minutes every day can make a huge difference to children both now and well into their future:

World Book Day – Parent letter

Finally, children are invited to be Reading Stars – please see attached flyers:

Reading Stars – EYFS and KS1

Reading Stars – all KS2

This is just a fun way to encourage them to enjoy their reading a little more.  If you would like to tick off their Reading Stars activities and send a completed sheet into school, they will be awarded a prize.

Thank you for your continued support with everything that is READING! We can’t wait to see what brilliant work is sent in!
