School Dinners are served. They cost £2.10 per day and are paid for either online using the link below, by cash or by cheque made payable to Chartwells on Tuesdays for the following week. All meals are currently required to be pre-ordered a week in advance (Tuesday) to ensure your child gets the meal of their choice. All orders can be placed in a drop box in reception. Jacket Potatoes and baguettes can be ordered on the day at the school office. We believe that these meals represent good value for money, with the children being given a wide choice each day. This process of ordering in advance should be changing to ensure greater flexibility in the very near future.
Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are currently all entitled to free school meals though these still need ordering in the same way as all paid meals.
Parents in receipt of Income Support may claim free school meals – details are available from the school office. Children receiving free school meals will be treated no differently to any other and will not be identified in any way. They may also receive a free packed lunch when their class goes on a day visit.
Alternatively, packed lunches may be brought to school. In this case children should bring a plastic cup and spoon to school if they wish to have a drink of water or alternatively bring their own leak proof container of juice. Please be aware we are a Healthy School so no fizzy drinks.
